Wet Hot American Summer
CLIENT: Personal Project
This project is the aftermath of Annie Atkin’s workshop “Graphic Design for Filmmaking”. After completing the workshop, her students were instructed to choose a fictional character and create a series of props based on his or her life.
I chose a character from the 2001 cult classic, “Wet Hot American Summer” nicknamed Coop. Coop is a camp counselor at Camp Firewood, a co-ed summer camp in the outskirts of Waterville, Maine. The year is 1981 and this summer, Coop finds himself in love with the most popular, best looking counselor at camp: Katie. Despite his endless efforts, he finds his love unrequited as he watches Katie fall for the camp cool guy.
